Our ebikes provide pedal-assist, meaning the motor helps you as you pedal, making it easier to ride without requiring prior electric bike experience. Before your tour begins, our knowledgeable staff will provide a thorough orientation on how to operate the ebike, including starting, shifting gears, and using the pedal-assist settings. We encourage new riders to take some time to practice in a safe area so you can feel confident before heading out on the scenic routes. Our tours are designed with gentle routes and stops, allowing you to enjoy the ride at your own pace. Whether you are an experienced cyclist or a beginner on an ebike, PortCity Bike Tours is committed to making your tour enjoyable and accessible from the moment you start. Additionally, if you are unable to ride the ebike, and find it dangerous to you and the public, we can offer you an analog bicycle so that you can still participate in the tour. Unfortunately, we do not have a pick-up service should you not be able to complete the ride.

Yes, this tour includes e-bikes to enhance your experience. E-bikes are available on all our guided tours from April to October, ensuring comfort and accessibility for riders of varying fitness levels. If you need to cancel your tour, we offer a full refund for cancellations made more than 72 hours before the event. You can reschedule for a $20 fee per rider, based on availability. If you book within 48 hours, no cancellations or refunds are allowed. Tours must be rescheduled by phone, not by text or email. Rescheduling requests are subject to availability and can only be processed once. Failure to arrive 30 minutes before your tour departure time may result in your space being given away without a refund or credit. We now offer trip bike tour protection for a small fee per guest, allowing you to cancel or reschedule your public bike tour for any reason up to 48 hours before departure.

The seats are made and provided by Jamis Citizen and are the best cushioned seats around! The seats are about 6 inches wide and 8 inches long.

At PortCity Bike Tours, we want you to have an amazing and active experience exploring the New Hampshire Seacoast on two wheels! Please note that we do not offer a pick-up service if you are unable to complete the ride (approximately 4 hours). We encourage all riders to assess their fitness level before joining the e-bike tour and to bring water, snacks, and any necessary personal items to stay comfortable throughout the journey. Our guides are experienced and provide regular stops to rest and enjoy the sights, but it’s important to be prepared for a self-powered, continuous ride. If you encounter any difficulties, our team will assist with directions or advice, but you should plan to manage your own transportation if you must end the tour early.
