My husband and I took this bike tour and absolutely loved it. I was a little nervous initially because I am not in great shape and was worried I wouldn't be able to keep up. Happy to report I had nothing to worry about. As long as you know how to ride a bike you are good to go. A little strenuous in spots, but very doable. Our tour guide Dawn was super friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. We saw places we would never have seen if left on our own. Beautiful scenery, water views, and lovely homes. Highly recommend and if you get a beautiful day like we had, even better! Thank you Port City Bike Tours!"

Excellent tour of Portsmouth and New Castle
The bikes provided are well-maintained and the guide provided reflective vests and water bottles. The tour took place on beautiful, paved roads along country roads and harbor towns. We were given great directions and a safe route. Our guide was very knowledgeable.

We had a tremendous time on our Bike tour. Our group consisted of 4 adults and one toddler (2.5 years old). Our tour guide, Dawn, had everything lined up and ready for us as soon as we arrived. Dawn was extremely knowledgeable about the area and its history; clearly passionate about her job. That passion radiated throughout the tour and made for an outstanding day!

We had a wonderful day learning about the history and seeing the sights of Portsmouth and New Castle on bikes. Dawn is a wonderful storyteller, filling each stop with historical accounts of the forts, houses, parks and sights along the way. The bikes were great and easy to ride. It's a wonderful way to get your bearings in Portsmouth and the 3 hours are filled with historical accounts of this incredible area of New England!

This was the perfect way to see the most beautiful parts of the area and learn about the history of Portsmouth. Our guide was absolutely amazing and knowledgeable and very conscientious while riding in a line for those of us were uncomfortable on the times we were on city streets. We went along the coast line and over a short bridge onto the beautiful tiny island of New Castle, which is a a gorgeous postcard town. The bikes and helmets seemed new, super clean, comfortable, easy to ride and they even stick your bike with a big bottled water that is attached right to your bike. If you are in Portsmouth, take the time to see the area on one of these tours, you will NOT regret it!
