Discover the City View and Historic Neighborhood Bike Tour of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. On this tour, come and celebrate our 400th anniversary! Your professional expert tour guide will take you through the five distinctive districts of Portsmouth. You'll pass by the Piscataqua River through the South End and make your way into the charming and historic neighborhoods and off the beaten track. Your guide will bring you on the side roads, out of Market Square, and away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. You'll see green scapes, historic houses, and landmarks in Portsmouth that makeup one of the most beautiful and picturesque cities in the U.S. You will see the best of Portsmouth city sites while stopping en route for historical tidbits and stories. Meet your guide 30 minutes prior to your departure time to get fitted with your bike. You’ll hear a short briefing about the rules of the road, bike safety, and bike operation. Children and families are most welcome!

$46 Youth 20 and 24-inch bicycle (We request that the youth be able to ride for two hours, take directions from a guide and ride in a straight line. ) We reserve the right to cancel a tour or move to a rental if the young riders pose a safety issue.

Our tours depart ON TIME. You must arrive at our shop 30 minutes prior to the tour start time to check in and be fitted for your bike. Late arrivals will not be caught up or refunded.

We welcome families with children who are comfortable cyclists and at least 7 years old. Younger riders and those less comfortable on two wheels are encouraged to rent a tag-a-long.

The tour is roughly 35% on parks and paths and 65% on side roads and off the beaten path.
